Y5 Harvest Park Home

Here is one of our most recent homes we finished in Mapleton. There are some really fun additions to this home, and it shows what excellent quality we seek to achieve in building for our clients.

Starting with the entryway the client chose a simplistic design. The geometric repetition from the windows and trim is softened with the curves of the light fixture. The tile in the entry is an Emser tile called Strands and is a popular choice with the gray tone contemporary style. It is laid in a brick pattern which breaks up the lines a little. The trim in the entry helps to define the space and is a pleasant leading line into the rest of the home.

The kitchen cabinets contrast with the light colors and gives the living space a rich warmth. This kitchen features "Venetian Gold" granite counter-tops and beautiful crown molding on the cabinets. The floor is an engineered wood that is hand-scraped and compliments the cabinetry. For the back splash they chose to use a white subway tile, which gives the room a little glamour  Having the lights hanging lower also helps define the space to help create an intimate feel for the high ceilings.

In the living room here is pictured the fireplace mantle and built in cabinets. The fireplace surround is the same tile as the entryway tile. We made sure they were wired to mount a TV above the fireplace. The built in cabinets are topped with a nice crown molding as an accent that adds a little elegance to the simplicity. This will be a fun space to display items.

The Dining area is right at the center of it all. The open floor plan of this home makes it easy to have lots of people over and enjoy company more easily with the flexible space.

Having cabinets in the laundry room is a standard feature of ours. These are a raised panel that matches the kitchen cabinet stain. This is echoed in the master bathroom and other cabinet areas throughout the home.

The master bedroom had some very nice features. The beautiful cabinets add contrast to the light colored walls and tile. The Shower and bath have a fun accent mosaic glass tile that defines the space and adds to the simple design.

The homeowners chose to create an intimate space in the tub area by using a low chandelier. This adds to the style and comfort of this private area of the home. Also included in the design is granite counter-tops, natural travertine shower pan floors, shampoo shelf, bench and upgraded hardware.

As described in our previous post, we include a daylight basement in our home designs. Some of the benefits of having a daylight basement include lower energy usage, another entry into the home, and more light, creating a more user friendly basement.

Here is another beautiful aspect of this home's design. They chose to upgrade the stairs to a hardwood floor with the white wood riser. This is not only beautiful, but it adds value to your home. Wood stairs will last so much longer than carpeted stairs. The molding details on the balustrades reflects the simple elegance that is shown throughout the rest of the home.

This is something that works great for families. This vanity is accessible from the hallway upstairs. Being placed in between two bedrooms, it is accessible without needing to enter the bathroom area. If you have lots of girls who need to get ready in the mornings, this is perfect.

This home has many beautiful aspects, most of which are featured in our standard home feature list. We hope this has given you an idea of what potential your new home can have.
