More About the Parade Home

We are less than two weeks away from the beginning of the Parade of Homes and we are so excited to show off our Parade home!

 

There are a few design elements we are incorporating in the home that we would like to highlight this week.

 

One of the features in the home is the limestone tile flooring. Limestone is similar to Travertine, but is smoother and denser which makes it a more resilient material for flooring; perfect for family use.

 

Another favorite feature is the quarter-sawn oak cabinetry. Yes, oak, but these aren’t your grandmother’s oak cabinets. Utilizing the quarter-sawn cut exposes the stunning grain pattern not typically seen in a conventional oak kitchen. The craftsmanship and stain selection further enhance the elegance and traditional beauty that this kitchen has to offer.

A few of the standard features that set us apart in the industry include:

Engineered floor trusses.

Unlike the more common “I Joist” trusses, these trusses are constructed in such a way that permits the air ducting, plumbing, and other wiring to be concealed within the structure of the truss thereby eliminating the need for a “drop down” ceiling and permitting the full height of the basement to be utilized.

Finished garage.  

Have you ever walked through a garage that had exposed 2x4 framing or one that had been sheetrocked and taped but the tape was beginning to peel off and the sheetrock showed water stains?  We understand that details make a difference both inside and outside the living space.  Our finished garages are come standard with each home including sheetrock, tape, primer and a finish coat of paint. (epoxy floor shown in photo is not a standard feature).

2 x 6 exterior walls. 

We understand that your budget extends long after you close on your new home.  We build a standard 2x6 exterior wall construction because your long-term comfort and energy efficiency is important to us.
