This home is a 4,500 square foot home, with three finished levels, a two car garage. In this home, you'll see some that are different than the previous homes. We hope as you go through these blogs that you will find things you would love to have in your home.
The entry of this home is a warm inviting wood door with transom windows and beautiful craftsman style. The door is embellished with a dentil shelf and has seeded glass. What a beautiful first impression to this brand new home.
Once you enter, the home opens up to a traditional family room on the right. Rich hand-scraped engineered wood floors carry your eye down the hallway into the rest of the home. This floor is called Melbourne Galena and gives a rich feeling of stability and character to the home.
Looking from the entry down into the living space, there is a few nice features. The front parlor is brightly lit with three windows. Many of the doors in the main level are eight foot high doors.
Just off the entry from the garage is the laundry room. Laundry rooms come with cabinets standard over the washer and dryer. Pictured, this laundry does not have the washer and dryer installed, but has a sink in the corner for functionality. Additionally, there will be a counter top installed in this room.
This large home has five bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Each bedroom has its own unique features. The main level rooms have the tall doors, and nice built in storage and organizers in the closets. The carpet is a frieze Shaw brand carpet.
The bathrooms all have an Emser tile called Lucerne Pilatus with a decorative glass strip. They chose brushed nickel hardware features throughout the house. If you are building, make sure to ask your builder if they do include a shelf in their bathroom bid. In this house, they have a travertine stone paver shelf. Sometimes when building there are so many details its hard to remember certain things.
The stair balusters from the main level upward are a decorative oil rubbed bronze that is accentuated by the parchment white hand rails. You'll notice the beautiful details of the balusters in the pictures below.
This is the upstairs bathroom with a custom built vanity with a venetian gold granite counter top.Granite is very unpredictable, this one has some beautiful veins throughout. A vanity this size allows for enough space to place bathroom essentials and have a nice workspace. This bathroom also has the nickel hardware and Lucerne Pilatus tiles on the floor and shower surround. There is beautiful repetition in the curves of the light fixtures, the faucet, and sink that softens the geometries of the craftsman style.
One nice aspect of these rooms is the closets that summit included in the home. These closets include built in shelving and easy organization elements that wouldn't be common in some new built homes.
The simple trim in these rooms and throughout the house in addition to the accent windows in the upper level, reflect the craftsman type of style with the simple geometric lines.
The master bathroom has a comfortable feel. With the beautiful venetian gold granite counter tops, this vanity has a "his and hers" sink area. I made sure to picture the counter top in natural lighting and incandescent lighting to show the different colors this granite expresses in different lighting. The cabinets are a beautiful white shaker style.
The decorative strip is a glass mosaic with natural stone accents throughout. This adds a nice finishing touch to the tub surround.
A graceful brushed nickel faucet creates a calming effect that echoes the purpose of the large tub. The large stone pattern on this porcelain tile mimics the look of a rich natural travertine stone.
In the master shower, the same large tiles are used. Notice they are placed in a square lay instead of an offset brick pattern. This looks slightly more modern than the traditional offset pattern.
Breaking up the large porcelain wall tiles, the shower has two travertine stone shampoo shelves in the corner. On the shower floor is 4x4" tumbled travertine stone tiles. The variation of size in tiles helps this area of the bathroom look more custom. This grout color complimented the stone and tile quite nicely. Just for reference, is a Noce travertine stone with fawn colored grout.
The final room we will show in this blog is the kitchen. A beautifully done craftsman-modern style shows the simplistic elegance of the homeowner's style. The white shaker style cabinets are accented with a granite counter top. Silver is a glamorous touch to this kitchen shown in the hardware, lighting, and stainless steel appliances.
The white cabinets pop against the dark rich wood flooring. Staggered cabinets give a custom look to the cabinets. Another fun aspect of this kitchen cabinetry is the pull out garbage can drawer in the island, conveniently placed right in the cooking work zone- out of sight, out of mind.
The kitchen, dining and living area are all one large beautiful room. This dining area has large north facing windows, inviting the sun to shine into the living space all hours of the day. This home also features a large walkout basement and backyard deck (not pictured). Feel free to refer to the features section on our blog for more information on standard features.
